Dance In Dancewear is a dance store that was established in April 2014 when Deanna and Jeff Magrane purchased the former Broadway Dancewear store, continuing a dancewear store presence in Oakdale since 1999.  Deanna and Jeff have business backgrounds: Deanna was a corporate buyer for Belk Department Stores and merchandise manager for Broadway Panhandler, Manhattan’s leading cookware and kitchenware store; Jeff works in finance and insurance.  Our family is very active in dance; all three of our children – Caitlin, Andrew, and Erin – take dance lessons.  Dance In Dancewear allows us to devote our business experience to an activity shared by the whole family.  We are family-owned and operated and dedicated to knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive service.  We are happy that Vanessa remained on staff when we purchased the store.

Dance In Dancewear is a full-service dancewear store on Long Island. We are located at 4508 Sunrise Highway in the Oakdale Plaza, exit 48 on Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York.  We are fully stocked with a great variety of necessities, fashionwear, and accessories for dancers of all styles and ages and are constantly researching new vendors and merchandise to offer you an attractive and fulfilling shopping experience.  Our inventory includes ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, ballroom, hip hop, and lyrical dance shoes; leotards for dancers and gymnasts; tights, pants, shorts, tutus, skirts, knitwear, tees, sports bras, jewelry, and dance accessories.  Among the brands we carry are: Capezio, Bloch, Body Wrappers, Russian Pointe, So Danca, Eurotard, Danshuz, Wear Moi, Ballet Rosa, Very Fine Dancesport, Motionwear, Soffe, Covet Dance Clothing, Sugar & Bruno, Rac N Roll, Horizon Dance, and Yofi Cosmetics.
